To work tirelessly for all of my clients, to achieve the desired results drawing on my vast experience as legal counsel. I am dedicated to offering an innovative approach to solving your legal problems in a timely manner.

I will thoroughly canvass with clients the background and circumstances underlying the issues they must confront. I continue to acquire new legal knowledge and engage with legal colleagues to best respond to our rapidly changing legal environment.
I have returned to private practice, where I started my career, after a notable career in Constitutional and Indigenous Law with Alberta Justice. Before that, I had been an associate with Decore and Company, with a varied practice, that included Immigration, Family and Criminal Law.

Excellent results in many court appearances, at all levels of court, including the Alberta Court of Appeal and 27 appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada

Two-time recipient of Premier’s Award of Excellence for Work on Projects within Alberta Justice

Selected to Represent the Alberta Government in Historic Constitutional and Indigenous Negotiations Leading to the Charlottetown Constitutional Accord

Served on various committees with Alberta Government to develop laws and policies, all fully respecting Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and Charter of Rights

Presenter on major legal issues and court decisions at law conferences and have published considerable number of articles

Represented clients in immigration and criminal law matters while in private practice

Member Learned in the Law, Athabasca University Research Ethics Board for 10 years

Pro bono work, including representing Palestinian Canadians with family at risk in OPT

I am also proud of my daughter’s career as a valued teacher here in Edmonton and with my wife and daughter participate in various community events
