has had the opportunity to work on many key Indigenous law matters in his career and remains committed to reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and the proper resolution of disputes that will acknowledge and fulfill aboriginal and treaty rights.
has practiced Indigenous Law for 40 years and has appeared as counsel at all levels of court, in Alberta, Saskatchewan and at the Supreme Court – 28 appearances, from the Sparrow and Badger decisions, onwards to the Peavine Metis Settlement and Cunningham matter, (which affirmed an important principle within the s. 15 Charter of Rights analysis).
has worked in association with various Indigenous groups and individuals on exciting projects to advance fundamental rights
